Caistor Fisheries Ltd - Day Ticket Fishing, Camping and Caravanning in Lincolnshire

In the early part of 2002, a small pool was excavated and was naturally fed by spring water running off the Lincolnshire Wolds. A small stock of fish was introduced and the surrounding area was landscaped. Employees and their friends started to fish the pond and gradually other anglers began to hear about the pond. It soon became apparent that there was a demand for such a facility. We then decided to excavate another pond; a major part of the fish stock for this new pond was already available from the initial pond. To enable the business to grow we recognised the need for toilet facilities, so a small utility building consisting of both ladies and gents bathrooms with hand-washing facilities was constructed. A drinks machine was also installed. A second pond was then excavated, and opened for fishing in May 2003. To further expand the business a third pond was excavated in October 2003, stocked with fish and opened for fishing in May 2004. The company purchased this land in 2005 and set to work on the development of camping facilities. We have a no pets policy and also try to deter young children due to the dangers associated with deep waters.
